Pennsylvania Picks Solar Power
Construction for the largest photovoltaic farm on the east coast is underway right in the heart of Bucks County, PA. The solar energy plant which will consist of 17,000 solar panels spread across 16.5 acres of land is located in Falls Township. Then plant is owned by Waste Management, a company who focuses on going green. When the project is completed, it will be the 4th largest solar farm in the United States, outputting 3,700 megawatt-hours of electricity per year, enough to power about 400 homes.
It is great to see companies in Pennsylvania taking strides to go green. While companies in our own backyard are going green, it is important for homeowners to be environmentally conscious as well. Adding solar panels to your home is a great investment with endless tax incentives, and is also extremely beneficial to the environment.
